Motivations and Goals......

The Practicing Muslims Marriage Service is an online marriage facility and knowledge base that has been created to cater for the needs of practicing Muslims. Traditionally, in Islamic communities, marriage is sought by contacts with the guardians (Wali) of the females seeking out potential partners. As a consequence of our changing societies and the influx of reverts to Islam, many Muslims today do not have access to these traditional means and in many cases, the traditional route only produces mismatches with the result being many muslims remaining unmarried into their 30's.

The PMMS has been created to fill this gap and facilitate the coming together of like-minded Muslims in an environment free of the dangers of existing Muslim matrimonial websites and marriage events.

Our goal in creating this service was primarily simplicity. It is aimed at the sincere seeker and as such there is no need for instant-messaging, chat-rooms, online diaries etc. Our research shows that it is primarily these things that attract the insincere. The website you are viewing now is just a front end and the majority of the work takes place 'offline'. We believe this makes for a more personal service, as close as we can get to the traditional means. Our research has also shown that an extensive profile plays a major part in attracting quality matches. Our profiles are the most detailed and extensive of matrimonial websites and they consist of two sections; Your Details and Your Ideal Partner details. We would request all members to enter as much detail as possible in their profiles as this is the key to quality matches.

Once your completed profile is received, a summarized version will be posted on our matchlist website. Your full profile will only be sent out to members on request.

The service is free to join as a basic member but gold membership will be required to send 'requests for contact'.

Once again, our intention is not to bring together those seeking contacts, friendships or extra-marital relationships. Our goal is firmly set on facilitating Islamic marriages for those seriously seeking them and to this end; we will endeavor to provide an unparalleled service to our members within our set guidelines and with the intention of establishing wholesome Islamic families.
